I have a book advocating a commitment to a practice of daily ACTS of KINDNESS. I have read many books exploring the science and benefits of kindness and how random acts of kindness are good for your health. I have even read articles that referred to kindness as loving kindness, which is aligned with the way in which the Bible often speaks about kindness. We will begin with a deep dive to uncover what exactly BIBLICAL KINDNESS is and explore this lovingkindness God has designed especially for us.

After our deep dive into the Biblical meaning of Kindness, I will facilitate a time of encounter for you to personally hear God speak to YOU about HIS thoughts of lovingkindness toward YOU and to reveal the path of Kindness-in-Action HE has for YOU, your home and your community. For me hearing God speak is like breathing. Necessary. Life giving. And... automatic. I don't know how I would get through a single moment of my day without an awareness of God by my side, leading and guiding and communing with me. I remember meeting with a friend for coffee one day with the sole intent of sharing what God had been revealing to me. It was a long and somewhat complicated God trail that I had been unravelling. As I was articulating what God was showing me to share. I remember my friend commenting on the way in which I was in constant communication with Holy Spirit. My friend had noticed the way that I would naturally pause as I was checking in with Holy Spirit about what to share next and how to share it. This was such a normal practice for me, to pray continually and to commune with God in this way, that I was surprised when my friend marvelled at it. I believe hearing God speak has become so automatic for me, because I have been deliberate about developing a daily, spiritual practice. I always begin my time by reading the Bible. The Bible tells us in multiple places that Jesus is the word of God made flesh and Jesus said He only speaks what He hears the Father saying. Jesus told His disciples that the Spirit of truth would come to guide us in all truth and reveal God's path to us.

Have you ever read the truth in the Bible and heard God speak to you, but before you've had time to properly think about it or put it into action, you hear a voice that comes to try and steal the truth away from you? As I write I think about the story of the sower and the seed...

“Study this story of the farmer planting seed. When anyone hears news of the kingdom and doesn’t take it in, it just remains on the surface, and so the Evil One comes along and plucks it right out of that person’s heart. This is the seed the farmer scatters on the path.  

The seed cast in the gravel—this is the person who hears and instantly responds with enthusiasm. But there is no soil of character, and so when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for it.

The seed cast in the weeds—this is the person who hears the kingdom news, but weeds of worry and illusions about getting more and wanting everything under the sun strangle what was heard, and nothing comes of it.

The seed cast on good earth—this is the person who hears and takes in the News, and then produces a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.”

Together we will take time to MEDITATE on the WORD of GOD to truly RECEIVE it deeply into your heart. We will take time to identify the voices in your mind, and the lies from the enemy, so that you can overcome the limiting beliefs that would try to hold you hostage and steal the seed of the word of God.

Once you have encountered God's lovingkindness and God has revealed to YOU His path of Kindness-in-Action, I will help you creatively explore how to activate a daily spiritual practice of Kindness-in-Action toward YOURSELF!
